The president's cultural advisor and Iran's national library's director announced his readiness to cooperate with the head of National Library of France for expanding virtual libraries in the region and through out the world.
As the public relation's department of National library and archives of IR of Iran reported, in the MoU inking ceremony between Iran and France, Ali Akbar Ash'ari said: Inaugurating the National Numeral Memory (known as Haram scheme in Iran) in the previous year and accommodating the complete text of more than 60 published books and 5000 rare manuscripts in the website has boosted the library's collaboration ground and assisting other libraries.
Donating a cover of the published manuscripts entitled "philosophical theses and Persian and Arabic poems" by Molasadra to the National Library of France, Ash'ari said:" Iran's national library is ready to publish available Persian manuscripts in National Library of France."
Pointing out to Iran's proposal to UNESCO on launching an award titled Ferdowsi (for those who are active worldwide on manuscripts' preservation and information dissemination) he added:" In my next trip to France we will converse on further libraries collaboration ways."
The director of the National library of France, Bruno Racine pointed out to the national libraries MoU and said:" The national libraries of Iran and France can take affective steps in the future towards intensifying cultural links."
Expressing that the national library of France has many ideas and programs on using libraries capacity, Racine said:" The programs are practicable on two levels; " exchanging experience and professionalism" and "programs that are more public".
Pointing out to France eagerness on exchanging experiences and employing Iranian experts' knowledge on manuscripts, he added:" The national library of France has decided to introduce a manuscript or library's treasures every month and hold programs on them."
Pointing out to the Arrow project that has inaugurated since March 2008 with an object to digitalize the library's sources he said:" The program is a part of the plan that is being executed in the continental's countries with the European budget and the National Library of France will welcome any proposal with Iran that will be on expanding such plans and common researches as well. Through this and with UNESCO's cooperation we will try to boost the capacity of such libraries.
